17-Mile Drive has long been lauded as one of the most luxurious and beautiful stretches of road in all of California. Stretching from its origin in Pacific Grove through the affluent Pebble Beach community, the winding loop has become an icon for the prosperity of this community’s residents as well as a masthead for the majestic natural beauty of the California coast. Winding through 17 miles of coast line, golf courses, mansions, and cypress forests, this is a truly priceless section of California’s geography.
We probably spent three hous or so on The Drive and made several stops, including the one above with the Lone Monterey Cypress. I will let our pics tell the story of beauty & awe, as my words would do little to enhance the ride.
I would love to play any of the half-dozen courses on the Pennisula...big bucks!

I'm convinced that if I ever lived here, I would probably never leave. One never tires of the varying scenery and sheer natural beauty. And the golf, wow! And here is the house I'd probably own...LOL!

We hope you enjoyed the pics as much as we did framing them. It was an enjoyable afternoon. We drove over to Pacific Grove and picked up our credentials and parking pass for the week, and we are now ready for our week on Pebble Beach Golf Links, taking in the celebs and pros...We did the 17 Mile Drive on Friday, 2/3 and will do a Jeep ride to the Big Sur tomorrow. So, till then, Joe & Nancy...RVing Beach Bums.
