It was a highlight of our time at Dade Park to have Jen and Ali visit us in Florida. She came in between jobs back home and so she needed a break. Well, we kept her on the go. But it was the type of "go" that was fun. Above at Weeki Wachee State Park for the mermaid show.
I think Ali enjoyed the show. She wondered how they were breathing under the water. So we had to explain the air supply hose. And below, posing with one of the stars of the show.
And a boat ride down the crystal clear river and the little alligator. It took about 10 minutes of coercion for her to get the courage to touch the little guy.
And back at the Dade Battlefield State Park, it was work day for the volunteers and Jen & Ali jumped right in and participated in the crafts. Below, outside volunteer Porgy Smith, our dear friend from New York, assists in the making of paper.
Back at the camper, time for a little putt putt and smores around the camp fire.
And a day a Downtown Disney, lunch and a little walk around the town. Relaxing walk with Jen & Ali.
And a pose or two with some lego characters...
Grandma just had to ride the merry-go-round...and below, a very nice curtsy from Miss Ali!
Never knew there was so much to do and see at this place. Nice change of pace for us too, and share it with our Jen and Ali, priceless!
And sadly, it came to an end so quickly :-( at Tampa A/P and good byes...
Well, that's a wrap! This blog written and published from Las Vegas, Nellis AFB FAMCAMP on May 24, 2015. RVing Beach Bums signing off.
